Gowen Field also is known as Boise Airport is an American civil-military airport that is controlled by the City of Boise Department of Aviation. Its operations are overseen by an Airport Commission.

This airport is the busiest airport in the Idaho state serving more than 10 times the total passengers as compared to the state’s second busiest airport Idaho Falls Regional Airport.

Apart from being a commercial & general aviation airport, this place also works as a USAF military facility concurrently. In 2015, the airport had more than 1,487,760 enplaned passengers.

• 3rd February, 2012- The pilot was killed on a Lancair IV-PT turboprop. The accident was caused by the pilot error.
