Francois Henri Pinault was born in Rennes, France on May 28, 1962 to his parents Francois Pinault and Louise Gautier. Francois Pinault has attended ‘HEC School of Management’, which is located in Paris, France; He completed his graduation in 1985.
Career
After completing his education, Francois Pinault founded a company ‘Soft Computing’ and later served as intern at Hewett Packard in Paris. He joined ‘Pinault Distributuion’ in 1987, which was founded by his father, in year 1990; he became the manager of the company. Meanwhile he also served as the CEO of French Retail chain ‘FNAC’. Later ‘Pinault Distribution’ was named ‘Pinault Printemps Redoute’ and Francois became a key person and prominent figure in the enterprise, first he became the Vice-president later chairman and then CEO. PPR was rechristened as ‘Kering’ in June 2013 by François-Henri. He gave two bronze ancient art pieces, which were originally stolen by the Anglo-French troops from Old Summer Palace of Beijing in 1860, as gift to the Chinese state.
