About Dipika Kakar Ibrahim
Dipika is a famous Indian television actress known for the lead role played in Indian soap opera, Sasural Simar Ka, on Colors TV from 2011 to 2017 as Simar Prem Bharadwaj. She even debut in feature film Paltan (2018) for a supporting role and is now an active contestant on reality television show, Bigg Boss 12 on Colors to rock the show with her culinary skills and affectionate personality.
Dipika was born on 6th August, 1986 in Pune, Maharashtra, India in the middle-class khatri family of Indian army officer father and a homemaker mother. She took a lot of interest in dancing and acting since her childhood and becoming an actress was her dream. She also has two elder sisters and was Hindu by religion until she made into a controversy by changing to Muslim on marrying Shoaib Ibrahim. In education she has done her schooling from CBSE board and did her graduation from the University of Mumbai. In personality, she is 5 feet 5 inches tall and has dark brown eyes and black hairs.
Talking about her career she spent around three years in the city of Mumbai flying as an air hostess with Jet Airways but left out the job due to some illness and started pursing career in acting after making her first debut in a lead role in Imagine TV’s soap Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi.
She got into limelight for her role played and soon grabbed her next project, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Sasural Simar Ka which made a turning point in her career. She even made some guest appearances on the dance reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7 in 2014 and on a comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil in 2015. In 2017, she and Shoaib participated as couple in another dance reality show Nach Baliye Season 8 making it up to four finalists. At present, she is doing a controversial reality show Bigg Boss 12 on Colors.
She married twice. Her first marriage with Raunak Samson ended up with divorcee in 2015 and now she is happily married to Shoaib Ibrahim after dating officially. Both met on the set of Indian soap opera, Sasural Simar Ka, as co-star.
She got awarded with Zee Gold Award under Best Actress category in a lead role in 2016 and in the previous year got the same award but for the Most Fit Actress Female category. On 30 Dec 2018 she was declared the winner of 'Bigg Boss' season 12 by Salman Khan and also won the prize money of 30 lakh.
