Damian Lillard is a 28 years old American professional Basketball player who plays for Portland Trail Blazers of National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life
Damian Lillard was born on July 15, 1990 in Oakland, Alameda, California to his parents Houston Lillard and Gina Lillard. He has two siblings, a brother and a sister. In his early childhood, Lillard was inclined towards skating and basketball. He attended ‘St. Joseph Notre Dame High School’ and ‘Oakland High School’. He played basketball during his school days and was coached by Orlando Watkins. He played well and got a scholarship from ‘Weber State University’. While at college, Lillard played for ‘Weber State Wildcats’ and also won several accolades like ‘Big Sky player of the Year’. By the end of his college time he became number five scorer in ‘Big Sky’ history and second highest scorer in the history of ‘Weber State’.

Damian Lillard started his professional career by skipping his college career in basketball to enter 2012 NBA draft. He debuted for ‘Portland Trail Blazers’ of NBA against ‘Angeles Lakers’, he was the third player to score 20 points and 10 assists. He won the ‘NBA Rookie of the year award’ and secured an average of 19 points in 82 games played. While in his second season he became the part of ‘All NBA third team’, which indeed was great an achievement being there for just two seasons. During third season, his average score remained low, but he made a record of securing most three pointers in any player’s first three seasons. In 2015, his contract with ‘Trail Blazers’ got extended for five years’ worth US $ 120 million. He became the fastest player to score 600 three pointers in just 247 games. Although suffering from ankle injury, he became the 11th player in the history to score 8000 points in his career. During 2016-17 season, he was named ‘Western Conference Player of the month’, when he secured 49 points, with 9 three pointers. In 2018, he suffered from hamstring injury, but he still did record breaking work in his games. He was announced as the fastest ‘Blazer’ to have scored 9000 points.
Apart from a basketball freak, he is an pop start and a rapper also, he released his debut single in 2015, ‘Soldier in the game’ and his debut album in 2016 named ‘The Letter o’. His second album was released in 2017 titled ‘confirmed’.
