Early life
Cheteshwar Arvind Pujara was born to famous parents Arvind Pujara and Reena Pujara on January 25, 1988 in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. His father is also former cricketer. He is nicknamed as Chintu. Talking about his schooling and qualification, Pujara has attended ‘Lal Bahadur Shastri Vidyalaya’ in Rajkot and later on he was enrolled to ‘RM Chhaya High School’. He has completed his graduation in stream of Business administration (BBA) through Correspondence. Pujara was always interested in making his mark in cricket from the very start; he started focusing on cricket since his early teenage days.
Career
Cheteshwar Pujara’s professional career, he started his career with his Under-19 Test debut against England in year 2005. He was also selected
for the Under-19 world cup 2006. He was one of the leading run scorers in the tournament and scored 350 runs from 6 matches. He was also the Man of the tournament. In domestic cricket, Pujara became the ninth batsman to score three triple centuries. In the 2008-09 season, he scored his first triple century – 302* against Orissa and next with a 352 against Karnataka in 2012-13 for Saurashtra. In 2017-18, he was the leading run scorer for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy amassing 437 runs in only four matches. Talking about his international debut, Pujara debuted for longer formats in which is test cricket in year 2010, he is considered the “The Rock” in Test cricket. The 31-year-old, Pujara has played 68 Test matches and has scored 5426 runs at an average of 51.19. He has scored 18 centuries and 20 half centuries with a highest of 206.

The Gujarat born cricketer Pujara’s personal life and relationship is no mystery he is a committed and married man, he has tied the nuptial knot of love and commitment with his wife Puja Pabari on February 13, 2013. The couple together shares a daughter named Aditi Pujara. Their marriage is going strong and they keep posting their PDAs and family pictures on social media websites quite often.
Cheteshwar Pujara is a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Ricky Pointing, he considered them as his mentors and has learned quite a much from their cricketing experience.
