Charoen Sirivadhanabhkdi was born on May 2, 1944 in Bangkok, Thailand; he was born in poor class Thai family of Chinese back roots. His father was a street vendor and earned hard to survive their livelihood, Charoen has 10 siblings, 5 elder and five younger to him. Charoen’s formal level of education is not much high, he has just went to high school and soon became a drop out. His birth name is although Khun Charoen, in year 1988, he was granted the family name ‘Sirivadhanabhakdi’ by king of Thailand.
Career
Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi made his career when he successfully obtained 15% rights to produce liquor, in 1985, the remaining licenses for 85 per cent of the liquor market were opened up for bidding. According to the Forbes article, Charoen’s business vehicle Thai Charoen Corp, or TCC, borrowed US$200 million and won
all the concessions. In one stroke, he established a monopoly in distilled spirits in Thailand.
TCC’s beer story started later in the 1990s, when the Thai government liberalised the beer market. Charoen in beginning partnered Danish brand Carlsberg to make and distribute the tipple in Thailand. But Charoen was soon making his own beer, dubbed Chang or Thai for “elephant”, around 1995 to 1996.
Charoen’s TCC group is also involved in industry, agriculture, finance, insurance and real estate.

Charoen Sirivadhanahakdi is a married man; his wife name is KhunyingWanna. The couple together has five children out of their wedlock. Three children of him are directly involved in his business, which are Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, WallapaSirivadhanabhakdi and Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi.
