Wechat Overview
Wechat is a messaging and social media app developed by Tencent Holdings Limited. The app was initially released on 21 January 2011. As of 2018 records, WeChat is one of the largest mobile apps regarding monthly active users. The app used by more than 1 billion monthly active users. The Forbes stated that Wechat is the world’s most powerful apps. In China, the app is popularly known as an app for everything and super app. The app is available on several platforms named as iOS, MacOS, Android, Windows 10 mobile and android. The andiron version of the app was released on November 19, 2017.
The users can also use payment service for pay bills, order goods, transfer money to others and many more. The Payment service of WeChat is available in China. Only those user can use payment service which provided their bank account information. The users can transfer balance by using their debit or receiving money from other users.
Wechat History
The Wechat started as a project assignment at Tencent Guangzhou Research & Project center in October 2010. Zhang Xiaolong creates the earliest version of the app. The original app version named as Weixn. In 2012, the app was used by more than 100 million. The app was re-branded as WeChat for the global market.

The app also offers instant messaging methods to users. The app provides three types of accounts to users named as service accounts, subscription account, and enterprise account. The subscription account of the app is a basic type of account which allows user push content and notification update.
