Parc Asterix Overview
Parc Asterix is an amusement park located in Oise, France. The amusement park is inspired by Asterix which is a comic book series created by Albert Uderzo and Rene Goscinny.
This popular park is visited by two million people yearly. It is the second most visited theme park after Disney Land. The owner of the Amusement park is Compagnie des Alpes.
The park is widely known for its variety of roller coasters.
In Amusement Park, an eleven-year boy was hit by lighting in July 2004. On 5 July 2006, a six-year-old boy was sunk while riding on La Descente du Styx. The park management then renamed the park to Romus & Rapidus.
Parc Asterix History
The park was opened for the public on 30 April 1989. Barclays Financial Company largely provided funding to the park along with several other investors like Compagnie Generale des Eaux, Havas Group, Union des Assurance de Paris, Picardy region and many more.
The park was inaugurated by the Jack Lang which was Minister for Culture at that time.
In 1997, the park visited by more than 1.9 million visitors. The Park organized a Halloween Event named Peur sur le Parc Asterix in 2009 during their 20th anniversary.
Parc Asterix Attractions & Events
The main attractions of theme parks include Les Petites Chaises Volantes, Lavomatix, Les PetitesChars Tamponneurs, Enigmatix, Lescadrille Des As, Hydrolix, Etimine, Le Mint Carrousel and aerodynamics.
There are several partner hotels of the park named as Novotel Survilliers, Golden Tulip St Witz, Akena City St Witx, Novotel Paris Charles De Gaulle and many more.
The Amusement Park organizes several shows for visitors named as Le Drakkar Fantome, Reverence, Magna Maleficus, Inferno, the Fire Show, and Oziris Night Time Show.
