This team mainly competes in Major League Soccer and holds membership in the Western Conference.
They are one of the highly successful teams in this league winning two US Open Cups, five MLS Cups, and four Supporters’ Shield trophies.

There is a local academy operated by the team management where they train U-18 & U-16 teams for the US Soccer Development Academy.
