How was it started?
Tim Besse, Robert Hohman, and Rich Barton co-founded the company in June 2007. They managed to raise $6.5m as funding in initial days followed by $12m in 2011 and around $20m in 2012.
But its start as a company has an interesting story behind according to which the idea of such a venture came when two of its co-founders Hohman and Barton thought on the accidental happening of leaving the results about employee survey on the printer while working at Expedia.
Thus getting inspired they never looked back for making it a career decision in future thus launching the company being headquartered in Mill Valley.
Now the company is being acquired by Recruit Holdings which is a growing HR Technology business segment in June 2018 for $1.2 billion in cash.
