The company was established by Gary Adams in 1979 in a small shop in McHenry, Illinois. He started this company with a small amount of US$ 24k with a workforce of just three people. The company’s revenue increased to billion dollars in 2006 that makes him the second golf brand to achieve this feat. The company was bought by KPS Capital Partners for US$ 425 million.
