They are an active member of TOPIX Large 70 Component and trade publicly on Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company is involved in the aerospace and ground transportation manufacturing. The owners of the company include Toyota Motor, The Master Trust Bank of Japan, Mizuho Bank, Suzuki Motor Corporation, and Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance.
The company was started on 15th July 1953 as Fuji Heavy Industries when five companies merged to form a single one. It includes Omiya Fuji Kogyo, Tokyo Suji Sangyo, Fuji Kogyo, and Utsunomiya Sharyo.

• Subaru Industrial Power Products
This division creates and sell pumps, generators, and commercial engines. It was formerly known as the Subaru-Robin and Robin brands.
• Eco-Technology Division
This extensive division of company develops and distribute robot sweeper, wind turbines, and garbage trucks.
