The company raised $27.4 million ahead of its launch in July 2012 by Torstar Corp. and including capital from Slaight Communications. Later, it was undertaken by the private equity firm Emerge Commerce Inc. and was re positioned to start a new base towards “content and coupons” shifting from e-commerce marketplace.
