Shenzhen Metro Overview
The Shenzhen Metro is one of the largest rapid transit systems in the Chinese city Shenzhen that situated in Guangdong province. This network operated jointly by the MTR Corporation and Shenzhen Metro Group. Their yearly ridership in the year 2017 was 1.654 billion. Since its foundation, the trains of this system had involved in many accidents. Some of the popular ones were on 23rd December 2017 when a suicidal man was killed by a line 11 train between airport and Bihaiwan. It results in disrupting service for almost 1 & ½ hours. Also, a collapse occurs during the construction of Line 7 that cause the death of one worker.
There are eight lines included in this system with a motive to offer a quick and low rate service of traveling while making a comparison to the taxis and buses available in the city. The borders are crossed between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the line that runs from line 1 and line 4.

The complete network divide between eight different lines that are named Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 5, Line 7, Line 9, and Line 11. It includes 166 stations and spread in the area of 286 kilometers. Since its foundation, the network has revamped multiple times. The majority of their stations have toilets that are free of charge for the public. Also, the other facilities like luggage storage, mobile phone service, and public telephones are available on the stations. The mobile phone service is offered by the companies like China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile. The announcements are made in many different languages like Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
