British Motor Corporation made an economy car called Mini in 1959 and continued till 2000. Models made were Morris Mini-Minor and the Austin Seven, the Countryman, Moke, 1275GT and Clubman. Heir of Mini originals developed in 1995 and in 2001 launched the new generation car of same. As British Motor Company owned Mini till 2000, from 2001 Mini is owned by BMW. Mini was owned by some other companies also alike British Leyland (1968-1986), Rover Group (1986-1988), and British Aerospace (1988-1994). Presently Mini is sold worldwide. Mini cars-Hatch/Hardtop, Clubman, Convertible, Coupe and Roadster are manufactured at BMW Plant Oxford in Cowley, Enland and Counteryman & Paceman in Austria by Magna Steyr. Since 2012, total number of vehicles sold by Mini worldwide is 301,526. All Produced Models by Mini are Mini Mark I (1959 to 1967), Mini Mark II (1967 to 1970), Mini Mark III-Mark VII (1969 to 2000), Mini Hatch/Hardtop (2001 to 2006), Mini Convertible/Cabrio (2005 to 2008), Mini Hatch/Hardtop (2007 to 2013), Mini Clubman (2008 to present), Mini Convertible (2009 to present), Mini
Countryman (2011 to present), Mini Coupé (2012 to present), Mini Roadster (2012 to present), Mini Paceman (2013 to present), Mini Hatch/Hardtop (2014 to present). Other than these cars, Mini E is also produced as Electric Car and there are some concept cars also and the crossover is also a concept car, which became Mini Countryman in 2010. Mini cars won many awards like Mini Cooper was included as one of the “Top 10 Green Cars of the Year” in 2010 April by Kelly Blue Book, on 5 June 2013 Mini Cooper S won the award in category of 1.4 to 1.8 litres Engine for its 1.6 litre four cylinder twin power turbo Engine in International Engine of the Year Awards.
