British Motor Corporation made an economy car called Mini in 1959 and continued till 2000. Models made were Morris Mini-Minor and the Austin Seven, the Countryman, Moke, 1275GT and Clubman. Heir of Mini originals developed in 1995 and in 2001 launched the new generation car of same. As British Motor Company owned Mini till 2000, from 2001 Mini is owned by BMW. Mini was owned by some other companies also alike British Leyland (1968-1986), Rover Group (1986-1988), and British Aerospace (1988-1994). Presently Mini is sold worldwide. Mini cars-Hatch/Hardtop, Clubman, Convertible, Coupe and Roadster are manufactured at BMW Plant Oxford in Cowley, Enland and Counteryman & Paceman in Austria by Magna Steyr. Since 2012, total number of vehicles sold by Mini worldwide is 301,526. Other than these cars, Mini E is also produced as Electric Car and there are some concept cars also and the crossover is also a concept car, which became Mini Countryman in 2010. Mini cars won many awards like Mini Cooper was included as one of the “Top 10 Green Cars of the Year” in 2010 April by Kelly Blue Book, on 5 June 2013 Mini Cooper S won the award in category of 1.4 to 1.8 litres Engine for its 1.6 litre four cylinder twin power turbo Engine in International Engine of the Year Awards.
