We are talking about the American company that deals with beverage brewing systems for home and commercial use.
The brand is under the ownership of Keurig Dr. Pepper and is working in this field for the past 20 years. It is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts.
When was it started?
The company was brought up by the two founders Peter Dragone and John Sylvan who were college roommates at Colby College in Maine in the late 1970s.
Sylvan was keener towards making such a project design that creates a single-serving pod of coffee grounds and a machine that would brew it so he left his tech job and put forth the business plan in front of Dragone in 1992.
Both together founded the company under name Keurig that set out to revolutionize the way coffee was brewed.
The company got initial investment from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters who brought the first roaster to offer its coffee in the Keurig “K-Cup” pod in 1997 followed by a brewing system in the market in 1998.
The company in 2006 owned all of Keurig Inc. The starting distribution was done in the offices of New York City and New England until 2004 when the first prototype for home use was made.
The company has sold over $330 million worth of brews and well over $800 million worth of K-Cups.

They offer over 400 different varieties and over 60 brands of coffee and other beverages.
The company’s Keurig K-Cup brewing system designed to brew a single cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate or other hot beverage that include cold coffees, cocoas, dairy-based beverages, lemonades, cider, and fruit-based drinks.
In addition to K-Cup pods, they have K-Carafe, K-Mug pods, and Vue.
What’s recent in news?
Jab Holding Company acquired Keurig Green Mountain in 2016 and in July 2018, it merged with Dr. Pepper Snapple Group becoming the third-largest beverage company in North America and a publicly-traded conglomerate.
Achievements
The company has received four consecutive years in a row from 2012-2015 the title of Single Serve Coffee Maker Brand of the Year given by Harris Poll EquiTrend Study.
In addition to these, the brand has also won many other titles one such includes the 2014 Food and Beverage Innovators Award- Bolt Packs.
