ExperianExperian plc provides information services globally, deals in business services. Experian serves worldwide in 40 countries. Experian has its headquarters in Dublin, Republic of Ireland (Corporate Headquarters) and in United States; Brazil & Heredia, Costa Rica and Sao Paulo, in United Kingdom; California & Costa Mesa and in Nottingham (Operational Headquarters). It is a LSE (London Stock Exchange Company). Experian plc was founded in 1996. In United Kingdom Government’s ID verify system, Experian plc is a partner of them. In starting Experian plc was merged with GUS plc in 1996. Formerly Experian plc was known as TRW information Services. Later it was merged with CCN. After 10 years of merging GUS with Experian plc looked to new market by broadening their product range for new industries, non financial services and planned to move to new markets like Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
In 2006, Experian plc gets separated from GUS. Experian consumerinfo.com site had some allegation in 2005 by Federal Trade Commission that as per their free
credit report commercial, they were not providing service so, rather than free report on credit they were automatically adding those customers to Experian's $79.95 credit-monitoring program. Services range of Experian is providing credit services, decision analytics & consumer services and marketing services. Experian has information of businesses, people, insurance and motor vehicles. National Consumer Assistance Center (NCAC) handles any credit disputes of Experian. Once a credit report is generated, consumer can contact National Consumer Assistance Center for any type of assistance by using contact information provided on credit report. An online resource was launched with name of “Values, Money and Me” by Experian which was designed to create awareness for school pupils regarding emotional and practical issue in managing money.
