DTE Energy is an American public utility company providing electricity and natural gas services in the state of Michigan, United States. The company has a revenue of more than US$ 12 billion and earns a net income of US$ 911 million every year. They have a workforce of more than 10,200 people that company control from their headquarters in Detroit, Michigan, United States.
They trade on New York Stock Exchange as “DTE” and is a component of S&P 500. The company was established by merging two companies DTE Electric Company and DTE Gas Company. DTE Gas Company offer natural gas services to more than 1.2 million customers, whereas the DTE Electric Company serves 2.1 million customers in the state of Michigan.
DTE Energy Operations
There are natural gas storage fields and pipeline systems owned by the company. In addition to that, they have some ownership in the interstate pipelines through which they offer services to Northeastern and Midwest part of Michigan. The company also own a power and industrial division that offer petroleum coke and metallurgical coke to the wastewater treatment services.
DTE Energy Network
The company uses fossil-fuel, nuclear plants, hydroelectric pump storage, and wind energy for generating electricity. They operate their network through 438,000 lines transformers and 690 distribution substations. With the help of this, DTE Energy offers services to their residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The company has transmission lines of around 2,000 miles, whereas their distribution lines are approximately 19,000 miles.
