Darigold
Darigold is an American agricultural marketing cooperative which was established in 1918. The corporate headquarters of the organization is situated in Seattle, Washington, United States. In the United States, the Darigold has operations in the states of Washington, Utah, Northern California and Oregon. The organization is owned by more than 500 dairy farm members of the Northwest Dairy Association also known as Northwest Dairymen’s Association. According to company’s records, they produce more than 8,600,000,000 pounds milks in a year along with annual sales of US$ 2 billion.
History
In 1918, the Darigold was established as the United Dairymen’s Association whereas they changed their name to Darigold in 1920. In 1930, they acquire the Consolidated Dairy Products Company. To improve its marketing position, they again changed their name to WestFram Foods. They returned to their original name in 2006 i.e. Darigold.
