AbeBooks Canada History
Started in 1995 by Keith & Cathy Waters, and Rick & Vivian Pura with a listing of just four bookstores. They have re seller agreements with Barnes & Noble.com, eBay, Amazon.com, and Half.com for many years through which they were allowed to sell and market books through them. However, all these agreements cancelled in 2005. They acquired many companies, like JustBooks GmbH, BookFinder.com, and IberLibro.com between 2000 & 2005. Amazon.com acquired the AbeBooks for a disclosed amount in 2008. Since that year, the company is named as one of the top employers in British Columbia.
